Thank you!!!!
Scoot for Scooter, even in its first year, turned out to be a huge success. On behalf of the entire Dave Scaggs Family, and the entire “Steering Team” including other family members with FTD, we would like to thank you for your generous contributions, both practical and financial. We are proud to announce that $40,000 was raised for AFTD, which is double our original goal. (All donations are tax deductible and AFTD is an IRS approved 501(c) 3 organization. AFTD’s Tax Exempt number is 41-2073220.)
Early in the preparation stages of this event, we contacted several “race timing companies” who told us that they do not come out to races during the first several years because the turnout wouldn’t be big enough, nor the event strong enough to require their services. Well, with over 1000 people in attendance, and the thousands of dollars raised, we proved to be a strong and compassionate team of caring individuals. To see so many people turn out in the spirit of camaraderie and support was truly beautiful. What a testament to the community that Dad built during his life as a coach, teacher, and friend. What a tribute to many other individuals suffering from FTD- Steve, Donna, Linda, Poppy, and Bob among others.
Together, we really made a difference. Thank you for being part of the first annual Scoot4Scooter, and we will see you better and stronger next year.
*If you won a raffle item, please email Allyson at asealfon@gmail.com with your name and street address. We need this information for our records. Thanks!
Until then, we remain,
Yours truly,
Allyson, Stephanie, and JD Scaggs
