Thank you, once again!
We did it again! Our Second Annual Scoot for Scooter was another successful and inspiring day! On behalf of the entire Dave Scaggs Family, the Steve Gebhardt Family and the rest of our wonderful Steering Team, we would like to thank you for your participation and generous contributions, both practical and financial. We are proud to announce that $38,000 was raised for AFTD! (All donations are tax deductible and AFTD is an IRS approved 501(c) 3 organization. AFTD’s Tax Exempt number is 41-2073220.) We estimate that we had close to 1,000 people in attendance.
We could not be happier with how the event turned out. The weather, and the cooperation of the Sandy Spring Friends Meeting House, could not be considered anything but a gift. We think the addition of our certified course, official timing from MCRRC, the Dedication Balloons, the FTD Awareness shirts, the impromptu DJ dance party, and the cake from Charm City Cakes, made this year even better than last year.
We feel gratitude and love for each and every person who contributed to this cause. We appreciate your part in turning the sadness we feel when hearing this diagnosis, into hope for the future. Your participation with Scoot for Scooter has helped to bring the dream for a cure closer to a reality.
Videos and photographs from the event will be posted as soon as possible. Together, we really made a difference. Thank you for being part of the Second Annual Scoot for Scooter, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!
Until then, we remain,
Yours truly,
Allyson, Stephanie, and JD Scaggs
